Manager, Conservation Museum Victoria, Melbourne, Australia Full Time (MV/6594) Salary range $47 988 - $67 674 plus 8% superannuation Museum Victoria is seeking a committed, creative and enthusiastic person to manage the Museum's Conservation section. Museum Victoria holds exceptional collections across the sciences and humanities, and the Manager, Conservation will implement cutting-edge preventive and fully researched remedial strategies to best ensure their preservation. The Manager, Conservation, will manage one of Australia's leading Museum conservation units. The position will manage highly skilled conservators, sophisticated preventive conservation strategies and complex treatments based on the best contemporary conservation research. The successful applicant will have appropriate tertiary qualifications in conservation, extensive experience in multi-disciplinary collections conservation, and will have made a demonstrated contribution to international best practice in conservation. The incumbent will have considerable experience in managing a conservation section in a museum, and have excellent management, communication and interpersonal skills.
