Subject: Pesticides
Has anyone come across references to the "Spradlin Process for moth proofing textiles"? As part of our compliance with NAGPRA, we have been researching the history of pesticide use on our American Indian collections. Apparently, the Spradlin Process was used on many textiles and other objects in the 1930's and 1940's. I would really like to know what this involved. Any clues?
