Painting Conservation Technician Indiana University Art Museum Indiana University Art Museum seeks a full time painting conservation technician for a one-year project with the possibility for extension. The conservation technician will assist the painting conservator with the preservation of the museum's painting collection. Responsibilities include the examination, documentation, and minor treatment of paintings. Some clerical and administrative work will also be required. Qualifications: a Bachelor of Arts with coursework in studio art, the history of art, and chemistry. The candidate should have experience handling works of art and demonstrated manual dexterity. Attention to detail, organizational ability, and good communication skills are essential. Previous experience in a museum painting conservation facility is desirable. The 40-hour-per-week position with a university benefits package will begin September 2001. Application deadline is August 7, 2001.
