North American Textile Conservation Conference 2002 Strengthening the Bond: Science and Textiles Philadelphia Museum of Art, Philadelphia, PA H.F. du Pont Winterthur Museum, Winterthur, DE April 5-6, 2002 (opening reception on the evening of April 4th) The North American Textile Conservation Conference 2002 will focus on the role of scientific analysis as a means of expanding our knowledge of textile history and conservation practices. The papers accepted for the conference focus on cleaning, materials characterization, and case histories. The keynote speaker will be Judith Hofenk de Graaff, formerly of the Central Research Laboratory for Objects of Art and Science in Amsterdam.
