Conservation Technician
Te Papa
6 month fixed term contract, part time (32 hours/week)

Familiarity with museum values, procedures and standards is
essential, along with good manual dexterity, good eyesight, and
experience in handling delicate items safely. Experience in
condition assessment and conservation treatment of objects, textiles
and/or paper would be an advantage.   Some lifting of heavy items
and cleaning large collection items from scissor lift machines
involved, good physical fitness and clean current driver's licence
essential. Team work and an awareness of cultural considerations
