Subject: Impact of WTC smoke on museum HVAC systems
I was reading a report in the New York Times (Oct 11, 2001) about the air quality in Manhattan as a result of the attack on the World Trade Center. I was wondering whether there was any negative impact on air quality in the museums on Manhattan while the smoke pall was hanging over mid-town New York. Did filtration systems cope or not? If not, what action was taken?
