Conservator (4 positions) The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is seeking to fill four conservator positions to be located in its state-of-the art conservation labs in College Park, MD (Washington DC area). NARA, an independent federal agency responsible for preserving and making available the permanently valuable records of the U.S. government, is a leader in the field of document preservation. The holdings of NARA are diverse, and applicants are sought who are skilled in treating archival and manuscript materials in loose and bound formats, and who are knowledgeable regarding preservation options for these materials. Two GS-11 conservator (salary range $44,352 to $57,656) and two GS-12 senior conservator (salary range $53,156 to $69,099) positions will be filled; all are permanent and full-time positions.
