Subject: Substitute for Mylar Type D
I read with interest the comments of Randy Silverman about a replacement for Mylar Type "D" due to its apparent demise. Here in England we secured very many tonnes of "D' grade earlier in the year for future use along with ICI/Dupont's grade '516' in both 75 and 100 micron (3 and 4 mil). As far as I am aware our opposite number in Springfield, Virginia (telephone Kathy on 800-634-6932) have excellent stocks of these and other Dupont archival quality thicknesses for future business.
