Subject: Exhibition on conservation
The National Polish Artist Association, Torun Chapter, organized a 90-year retrospective exhibition of conservation work carried out by graduates of the University of Nicolaus Copernicus, Torun, Poland. The opening took place on November 19th 2001 and the exhibit will remain on viewing through December 2001, in Torun, Poland. The exhibition was sponsored by The Conservator General, Ministry of Culture, Department of Tourism and Culture of City of Torun, and various conservation related organizations. 140 participants exhibited posters illustrating their conservation work carried out in Poland and numerous countries in Europe, Australia, North Africa, and USA. Posters are on display in one of the Merchants Hall in the Medieval City Hall, currently the Regional Museum in Torun, Poland. A richly illustrated, 285 page-catalog contains color photographs of a variety of the conservation projects performed on murals, stone sculptures, Medieval and Baroque Churches, glass and metal objects, oil paintings, paper and leather art and artifacts.
