Subject: Support for mentorship and surveys
Deadline for the Upper Midwest Conservation Association's (UMCA) Mentorship and Subsidized Survey Programs is January 18, 2002. These programs are offered through a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and are available to museums in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. The Mentorship program will provide assistance with a specific, collections-related, conservation project over a two-year period, which will include two personal visits from a conservator and phone/e-mail consultations. This program is offered at no cost to accepted institutions. The Subsidized Survey program will provide for a survey of an institution's collections for a greatly reduced cost--institutions will pay only $400 for the survey and report plus $350 for travel, food and accommodations for the visiting conservator. Please contact Melinda Markell, Field Services Coordinator, at 612-870-3128 for more details and applications. UMCA will accept Faxed applications. *** Conservation DistList Instance 15:50 Distributed: Monday, January 14, 2002 Message Id: cdl-15-50-003 ***Received on Monday, 14 January, 2002
