The new Moderna Museet opened in February 1998. The Museum's
objectives are to reflect, collect and preserve modern and
contemporary art in all its shapes. Since the first of July 1999 the
museum has been an independent government funded museum with circa
70 employees. During the summer of 2002 the Museum will temporarily
move to new premises at Klarabergsviadukten 61, Stockholm, while the
Museum is renovated. The Museum will return to Skeppsholmen in the
autumn of 2003. The Museum's work  will continue during this period
with the collection being shown at many places in Stockholm and
Sweden, many short small exhibitions at Klarabergsviadukten and
events that will take place around the city.

To join our conservation department, consisting of conservators of
painting, paper and photography we are now looking for a full time
Object/Sculpture conservator. The applicant should be specialised in
three-dimensional objects. Knowledge of moving and electronic
objects and composite materials used throughout the 20th century
until today would be a major advantage.

Work description: To independently perform conservation treatments
with the necessary investigation and documentation work, and also to
take part in work connected to exhibitions, both internal and
external.

Desired qualifications:

    *   Approved Conservation Degree
    *   A broad art historical knowledge
    *   A well developed aesthetical sense for the art works both
        technologically and artistically
    *   Documented work experience, from a museum environment is
        preferential
