Subject: Online conservation resources
**** Moderator's comments: Please respond directly to the author. As a graduate student at the Conservation Center of the Institute of Fine Arts I am sometimes encouraged to use the web to locate relevant information in the conservation field (everything from Acids to X-rays--nothing Z yet). I have found excellent sites (CoOL!) about a variety of topics, and some sites not so excellent. In doing this process I have begun to assemble and categorize a good number of bookmarks. My question is this: Does anyone know of any annotated, or perhaps rated, comprehensive lists of conservation related sites besides what is on CoOL? It seems to me that if there isn't one already it might make a worthwhile project, especially if it included a system that allows everyone to comment on and/or rate the viability of the site. It seems a feasible dream to have a list of bookmarks that conservators could use as a sort of information web briefcase.
