Current Research into the Conservation of Australian Aboriginal Bark Paintings One Day Seminar Broadcast Studio, National Museum of Australia, Canberra Friday, 22 March 2002 9am The morning session of this seminar will present the findings of research carried out during the Bark Paintings Research Project. This project has been funded through the National Museum of Australia, National Gallery of Australia and University of Canberra by a SPIRT Grant from the Australian Research Council. Research to be presented includes a summary of the findings of field work carried out in Arnhem Land, a survey of previous consolidation treatments, bark anatomy and the dimensional change of bark. The afternoon session will include papers from authors carrying out research in Australia.
