Subject: Overmodelled masks
For my diplomawork on overmodelled masks from the Sepik region in Papua New Guinea (PNG), I am looking for conservators and scientists who have experience with the identification of tropical wood and/or masses used in PNG for overmodelling masks and skulls (the mass on the objects I am working with seems to be made of two different kinds of clay, tree-oil and lime),or who have already worked on overmodelled or similar masks from that region.
