Conservation Officer Grade JE3, #15,650 - #18,350 pa inclusive (6 months, Fixed Term) London Metropolitan Archives Corporation of London We are looking for a Conservation Officer to join the team in the Conservation Workshop of the London Metropolitan Archives <URL:http://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/lma/>, the largest local authority archive in the country, with 32 miles of archives and 70 staff. LMA is also responsible for the management of Keats House in Hampstead. Your main work will be the preparation of material for microfilming programmes and the cleaning, basic repair and packaging of archive and library materials, learning new techniques as appropriate. A good standard of literacy and numeracy and a recognised qualification in the field of conservation are required. You should be able to work in dusty conditions, to climb ladders and to handle heavy archives with care. CVs will not be considered. Only those chosen for interview will be contacted.
