Assistant Conservator, Generalist
Restoration Conservation Laboratory

    Determinate appointment until January 30, 2003. Full time 37.5
    hours per week.
    Salary: from $45,283 to $53,469 per annum.

    Language Requirements: Knowledge of the English language is
    essential for this position.

    Your Challenge: You will carry out examinations, preventive and
    remedial treatments on NGC paintings, contemporary art,
    sculpture and decorative arts; contribute to safe display,
    storage and movement (handling and transit) of works of art;
    examine works of art in other collections as required. Perform
    other related duties.

    Education: A successful completion of a recognized
    post-secondary school training program in conservation or the
    equivalent in training and experience.

    Experience: Additional Requirements / Comments: Condition of
    employment: Enhanced reliability check, this factor is not used
    at the pre-selection stage.

    Tests could be administered.
    The National Gallery could inventory all applications received
