Subject: Cotton gloves

Many years ago, I found that 'grip marks' were left on silver, indicating the presence of sulphur in the grip material. I also have found that the tendency of cotton gloves to wick moisture and salt, has resulted in related corrosion of metal surfaces where residues are left on contact. I would recommend non-porous glove materials be used for handling artifacts.
