Travelling Exhibition Technician Technical Services The National Gallery of Canada The National Gallery of Canada is presently seeking applications to fill the position of: Travelling Exhibition Technician/Technical Services Amendment--Extended posting Indeterminate position. Full time 37.5 hours per week. Salary: from $40,248 to $47,932 per annum. Language Requirements: Knowledge of both English and French is essential. Your Challenge: You will participate in the preparation of National Gallery of Canada (NGC) travelling exhibitions; travel to receiving centres to supervise and participate in the unpacking, installation, dismantling and re-packing of travelling exhibitions. As required, performs the duties of Installation Technician: Art Handling and Fabrication Technician: Crating. Education: We require a completion of a post-secondary programme in Museum Technology, or equivalent. Experience: Extensive experience in handling, installing and crating works of art in all media. Experience in using various software applications such as Word and Excel. Additional Requirements / Comments: The position requires a valid driver's licence (Ontario Class G or Quebec Class 3). Proficiency in English and in French is essential. Clearly indicate your language proficiency. Condition of employment: Enhanced reliability check, this factor is not used at the pre-selection stage.
