Professional Accreditation of Conservator-Restorers Accreditation Training Officer (part-time) UKIC et al In order to build on the success of the PACR Scheme for the accreditation of conservator-restorers, it is proposed to appoint a part-time Training Officer. This person will help individual practitioners to take advantage of the scheme by training assessors and members of the accreditation committees, advising applicants at various stages of their applications, assisting in the establishment of a mentoring network, and overseeing the implementation of the PACR Scheme and the recall of CPD records. S/he will work closely with the Development Officer of the Conservation Register. The ideal candidate will be both familiar with conservation and accreditation and experienced in relevant aspects of training and education. Good organisational skills are also essential. This is a 0.5 post, and may be worked on days/hours to suit the candidate, subject to requirements and may either be office based (in the London offices of the UK Institute for Conservation) or based at the candidate's own home or place of work, subject to reasonable accessibility to London. This post is for two years in the first instance, with the possibility of a third year, after which a review and finances will determine whether or not it continues. The salary will be pro-rata of a full time equivalent of between UKP24,000 and UKP26,000 per annum. The post is funded by the Radcliffe Trust and the Professional Standards Board of the National Council for Conservation-Restoration, under the auspices of which the scheme is operated by IPC, UKIC and the Society of Archivists.
