Subject: A death--addendum
The news of Carolyn Rose's death came as a shock, but not a surprise, as I knew she had been ill. As one of her very first students, I know that she will be enormously missed by those students she had taught and those who knew her. Carolyn was tremendously energetic and accomplished a great deal. She impressed me by the way she managed her home, her young child (at that time), and her work. She really "worked around the clock" and never neglected any of her responsibilities. I left the Washington area 14 years ago and lost track of her personally, but read about her often through various publications--this format being one of them. Since I learned of her death through the posting here, I'd like to add my in a tribute to Carolyn Rose ( as one of the hundreds of students who benefited from her teaching) and to tell those she left behind--her husband, David and daughter, Betsy--that I, too mourn her passing. May she rest in peace Vera Espinola (Beery) *** Conservation DistList Instance 16:17 Distributed: Tuesday, September 3, 2002 Message Id: cdl-16-17-001 ***Received on Sunday, 1 September, 2002
