Lascaux fixative

A colleague has the following question about the use of Lascaux
Fixative for pastels and charcoals, which she uses on paintings made
with charcoal and pastel on primed (acrylic primer) canvases. Does
anyone know if the fixative is likely to have any harmful long-term
effects on the work?
