Conservation Development Officer Technical Conservation Research and Education (TCRE) Division Historic Scotland Applications are invited for the post of Conservation Development Officer within the Technical Conservation Research and Education (TCRE) Division of Historic Scotland. Main duties include the development and management of registers of conservation contractors for the service operated by the Scottish Conservation Bureau. You will answer technical enquiries from the general public and professionals and also be responsible for developing advertising and marketing for the Bureau and TCRE. A relevant degree or post-graduate qualification in buildings or objects conservation is essential and knowledge of materials and conservation techniques relevant to historic buildings in particular is essential. A positive attitude to customer care is important as the post involves frequent contact with the public and industry professionals. Salary is performance-related and in the range of Band C (UKP16,480-23,454) per annum. This is a Fixed Term Appointment for 3 years, with the possibility of extension to a permanent contract.
