Subject: Exhibition on underground New York
It is a great pleasure to invite my New York-area Cons DistList colleagues to celebrate with us at the inaugural event of our new organization. Ars Subterranea: The Society for Creative Preservation presents: An Exhibition on Underground New York <URL:http://www.creativepreservation.org/event.htm> The first art exhibition that takes you literally below New York--and into the legendary Atlantic Avenue Tunnel--the first railway subway tunnel in the world. Entrance to the tunnel is through a manhole in the middle of the intersection of Court Street and Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn. You may wish to dress accordingly. Staff will be on hand to provide access assistance if necessary. For detailed information about the history of the Atlantic Avenue Tunnel see sites below. Ars Subterranea is grateful for the existence of these sites, and all the labor and love that has been put into them. Thank you, webmasters.
