Subject: Internships at ConservArt, Inc.
Internship Training Program We have an immediate opportunity for interns, to participate in an important conservation treatment project at a historic Mansion-Museum in Miami, Florida. Successful applicants will work directly under conservator's supervision in carrying out all aspects of the in situ conservation treatment of a collection of historic wallpaper panels. Other aspects of this project as well as other projects may also be available. Project commences the week of November 18th 2002, and will be approximately six weeks in duration. Eligibility: Applicants should be in their junior or senior year in college working toward a degree in art history, art conservation, collection management or other related field. Graduate students and Master's degree candidates are encouraged to apply and make this project the object of their thesis, or dissertation. Other serious individuals may also be considered if they posses specialized experience, knowledge, skill or talent. Full time and part time applicants will be considered. If applicable, obtain a letter of recommendation from your department head or academic advisor, indicating whether you will receive academic credit for your work and what skills you are expected to acquire. There is no fee charged for this program and academic credit may be offered through your learning institution. There is a $50.00 per day stipend offered to offset travel and living expenses.
