The Library of Congress Preservation Directorate announces the second in its series of lectures on Topics in Preservation Science. James Martin, Director, Orion Analytical, will present "Diagnostic Techniques: Selection and Interpretation" covering techniques used in his investigations spanning four millennia of material--from ancient Egyptian tombs to modern compact discs. December 13, in the Library of Congress' Madison Building, Mary Pickford Room, 10:30-noon. This lecture is free and open to the public.
