Outdoor Sculpture Technician - Seasonal Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, MO has an excellent opportunity for an individual interested in a conservation pre-program position. The seasonal Sculpture Technician will report to the Conservator of Objects at the Museum. The position will examine, document, and perform maintenance treatments on outdoor sculptures in The Kansas City Sculpture Park during peak seasons. Some lifting and working from heights required. Hours are 1 to 3 hours per day, 5 days a week with flexible scheduling. Position available from May through November. Hours may be greater dependent upon specific projects. Must be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor of Fine Arts/Bachelor of Arts degree. Required to have an understanding and sensitivity to sculptural materials in metal and other media. Must have ability to use artist's materials in a precise and careful manner. Proven experience showing self-motivation and strong detail orientation. Must be highly reliable and have good hand skills. Ability to work with the public in an outdoor environment required. Photographic skills a plus.
