Modern Apprentice - Frame Conservation National Museums Liverpool Modern Apprentice - Frame Conservation (Ref: 2004/031) UKP10,250 per annum 2 Year Fixed Term Contract National Museums Liverpool is a unique organisation with responsibilities both as a major national museum group, and as a regional and local museum service for people in Liverpool and the North West. National Museums Liverpool is looking for an enthusiastic 18-25 year old to join its Frame Conservation Section as a modern apprentice. This two-year apprenticeship is an opportunity for you to acquire training and experience in the field of Frame Conservation and Restoration. You will be encouraged to develop and extend your existing practical and documentation skills whilst utilising the outstanding facilities on offer in the Conservation Centre. To be the successful applicant you will have 2 GCSEs including mathematics and English. An NVQ level 2 in carpentry and joinery would be desirable. You will have some experience of carpentry and joinery, be self-motivated and enthusiastic with good attention to detail and manual dexterity for dealing with intricate and historic gilded objects.
