Subject: Seminar on microforms
The Division of Archives and Records (City Clerk's Department) will host Kodak's Reliable Image Seminar Friday, June 4, 2004, from 9 am to 4 pm. The session will be held in the Strathcona Room, Vancouver City Hall, 453 West 12th Avenue (12th and Cambie), Vancouver, B.C. The seminar will be of interest to those who create and process microforms, or those responsible for the purchase and care of microform holdings. It will include hands-on training with a densitometer and a microscope. The instructor will be Tom Bruno, Senior Technical Manager, Document Imaging, for Eastman Kodak. He has decades of experience with all aspects of micrographics. In addition to the topics below, he will include tips to make work easier and more efficient. The seminar will be offered free of charge. Refreshments and a light lunch will be served.
