I am submitting this on behalf of a client who is seeking to fill a teaching position in Museum Studies with strong conservation/preservation emphasis. Faculty, Museum Studies (Conservation Focus) Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) The Institute of American Indian Arts of Santa Fe, NM is seeking a full-time faculty position beginning in August 2004. Must be able to instruct beginning and advanced courses, advise students in their degree programs and vocational opportunities, development of Museum Studies curriculum, committee work and assume other duties as assigned by the Dean. This position may also include consultation, programming or other assignments as needed by the IAIA Museum. PhD. preferred or MA in Museum Studies, Conservation (museum collections management experience desirable) or MFA in a related field, along with some teaching experience at a college level. Experience with American Indian and Alaska Native artists and cultures is highly desirable.
