Studentship at RCA/V&A

RCA/V&A Conservation offers MA, MPhil and PhD degrees in a range of
specialist areas. Applications are currently invited for entry to
the programme in the academic year 2005/2006 in the following
subjects.

Please note extended deadline for applications Monday 28 February
2005

    MA studentships

        MA studentships are for two years full-time. The places
        listed are based in the institutions indicated:

            *   Conservation of Metals and Surface Finishes in
                Social History Objects (with The Museum of London)

            *   Conservation Science (with the British Museum)

            *   Conservation of Musical Instruments and Ethnographic
                Objects (with the Horniman Museum)

            *   Natural History Conservation
                (with The Natural History Museum)

Further areas of MA study may be announced.

Research studentships

    MPhil research programmes are for a minimum of two years
    full-time or the equivalent part-time. PhD research programmes
    are for a minimum of three-years full-time or the equivalent
    part-time.

    RCA/V&A Conservation aims to support research in three broad
    subject areas. We welcome enquiries about these and will also
    consider novel research proposals from individuals.

        *   Materials and Practice in Art

        *   Historical, Social, and Artistic Contexts for
            Conservation

        *   Decision Contexts for Conservation
