Advanced Internship Northeast Document Conservation Center (NEDCC) The Northeast Document Conservation Center (NEDCC), located in Andover, Massachusetts, 25 miles north of Boston, is offering a one year advanced internship in its paper conservation laboratory. The position will be supported by a grant from the Samuel H. Kress Foundation. The position will begin in August or September 2005. The successful candidate will treat a variety of paper materials including manuscripts, maps, printed materials, architectural plans, and works of art on paper. He or she should have a degree from a graduate level conservation training program or have equivalent experience. Persons who are not U.S. citizens may apply but must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. We seek a person who is energetic, flexible, and productive with a strong interest in hands-on work. The salary will be commensurate with experience. Compensation will include funding for travel and research to supplement the training at NEDCC.
