Summer 2005 Internship in Archaeological Conservation Smithsonian Center for Materials Research and Education (SCMRE) The Smithsonian Center for Materials Research and Education (SCMRE) is offering a summer internship in archaeological conservation, based in Guatemala. Approximately 7 weeks (between late June and late August). Air fare, lodging and most meal costs are covered; small living allowance provided. Applicants currently enrolled in or recently graduated from conservation training programs are preferred. A concentration in objects with special interest in archaeological materials is required; some knowledge of Spanish is helpful but not required. Application deadline: 15 April 2005.
