2005 Summer Internships in Science Smithsonian Center for Materials Research and Education (SCMRE) The Smithsonian Center for Materials Research and Education (SCMRE) and the Smithsonian Office of Fellowships are pleased to announce summer internships in materials science, biology, biochemistry, chemistry, conservation science, mechanics, or related fields. SCMRE is an office of the Smithsonian Institution engaged in scientific research contributing to preserving, conserving, and understanding the materials of world cultural heritage and natural history, with relevance to Smithsonian collections. Stipends are available. Applicant Qualifications: The applicant may be an undergraduate or graduate student in the sciences, with an interest in cultural property.
