The Polytechnic University of Valencia is celebrating the 1st
International Conference  on Paintings Conservation from 9th to 11th
March, 2005. Its the first time that such prestigious researchers
from Italy, England, Germany, France, the United States, and, of
course, Spain visit our University. The objective is to present the
latest studies on painting conservation, and more specifically in
this first edition, on the behavior, deterioration and conservation
of canvas paintings

It is a great opportunity for our students and other researchers and
conservators from institutions, museums and private studios to take
part in such an interesting forum in which the latest studies
related to structural conservation of canvases will be shown.

Poster Session: The 1st International Conference on Painting
Conservation will include a Poster Session. Posters should show
recent and on-going research about canvas conservation topics.
Conservators are invited to submit a 100 word abstract *before* 1st
February 2005 to the conference e-mail address, in order to be
selected for its exhibition. It will be necessary for selected
authors to be registered. All submissions must describe original
research  which has not been published or currently under review by
another conference or journal

Trade Fair: A Trade fair will be mounted in association with the
Conference which includes several exhibitors displaying new
publications, conservators' materials, technical resources, and
other innovative products of interest to conservators and students.
