Internship in Archaeological Conservation (revised) Summer 2005 The Smithsonian Center for Materials Research and Education (SCMRE) is offering a summer internship in archaeological conservation, based in Mongolia (previously advertised for Guatemala). The project duration is approximately one month in the field [15 June-15 July]; a week at SCMRE prior to departure is encouraged. International air fare and on-site costs are covered; small stipend provided. Applicants currently enrolled in or recently graduated from conservation training programs are preferred; a concentration in objects with special interest in archaeological materials is required.
