Subject: Workshop on Modular Cleaning Program
The American Institute for Conservation and the Intermuseum Conservation Association are presenting a workshop The Modular Cleaning Program: A Systemic Approach to Cleaning Artwork August 5-7, 2005 The modular cleaning program (MCP) consists of a series of stock solutions and a computer database and has been developed to assist conservators in cleaning with solvents, solvent gels, and water-borne systems. This workshop will introduce participating conservators to the cleaning theories behind the MCP and the use of the MCP database and concentrates. The workshop will be taught by Chris Stavroudis, Paintings Conservator in Private Practice, Los Angeles and Tiarna Doherty, Assistant Paintings Conservator, J. Paul Getty Museum and will be held at the Intermuseum Conservation Association in Cleveland, Ohio. The cost will be $400 for AIC members and $475 for non-members.
