"CT Scans in Art Work Appraisal" by Dr Marc Ghysels, Art Tribal No. 04 Winter 2003:116-131, has a section on Terracotta Sculpture illustrated by numerous scans. The article gives a maximum object dimension for scanning of 50cm, and also discusses the influence of CT scanning on later thermoluminescence testing.
