Internship in the conservation of easel paintings and country house collection care Lamport Hall / Hamilton Kerr Institute Lamport Hall and the Hamilton Kerr Institute offer a twelve-month internship for a recently qualified conservator of paintings. It is expected that the starting date will be September 2006. The first three months of the internship will normally be spent at the Hamilton Kerr Institute and the remainder at Lamport Hall. The intern will work for the Director of the Lamport Hall Trust and will carry out conservation treatments on the Hall's collection of paintings under the supervision of the Hamilton Kerr Institute. There is a studio at the Hall, although the intern will be able to use the facilities of the Hamilton Kerr Institute when necessary. The internship will be an opportunity to learn about the day-to-day care of a country house paintings collection and its particular conservation problems and priorities. The internship will be funded by Lamport Hall and the Hamilton Kerr Institute. In addition, the intern's accommodation will be provided at Lamport Hall.
