Head of Conservation Studio ALC Grade 3 (UKP31,274 - UKP36,959) University Library Book and Paper Conservation Unit University of Dundee We wish to appoint an accredited paper conservator as Chief Conservator and Head of the Book and Paper Conservation Studio in the University Library. The Studio is a well-established regional centre for paper-based materials and has an international reputation. This full-time post involves marketing the Studio's services, and managing several skilled conservators, in a cost-recovery environment. Minimum requirements for applicants are a recognised qualification in book or paper conservation, together with a demonstrated ability to manage a studio in a competitive environment and to generate income. PACR accreditation is desirable. Self-motivation and enthusiasm are essential. You will be a self starter with the ability to work without direct supervision. You will be an enthusiastic team player, with proven management ability, well developed communication and interpersonal skills, with a flexible but firm approach to problem solving. Versatility, flexibility and the ability to work successfully under pressure in a busy environment are required.
