HP Research Fellow: One year post National Gallery, London UKP26,247 p.a. inc. You will work within the existing Scientific department imaging programme to develop and apply digital examination methods, including visible, infrared, X-ray, multi-spectral and surface texture imaging techniques. The work may involve the development of image capture equipment and software, the manipulation, use and dissemination of images, and the controlled reproduction of the images as prints. You will be encouraged to devise imaging projects arising from their own relevant interests, or building on previous research in the department. We are looking for a well-qualified individual, ideally with relevant postgraduate or post-doctoral experience. Knowledge of, or experience in, digital imaging, image processing and/or colour science is required and experience of working in a museum or conservation environment would be an advantage. You will also be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with wide range of individuals who may have varying levels of understanding of the field. Closing date: 31 March 2006.
