Assistant Objects Conservator Cleveland Museum of Art The Cleveland Museum of Art ranks among this nation's most distinguished comprehensive art museums. The museum's Conservation department seeks an Assistant Objects Conservator to assist with the reinstallation of the permanent collection in the original neo-classical building and the preparation of works of art for the museum's traveling exhibitions. The successful candidate will examine and treat a wide range of material under the supervision of the Associate Conservator of Objects and the Chief Conservator. This position is available immediately for one year. A Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree or a Certificate from a recognized Conservation Program or advanced conservation training with verifiable experience is required. Candidates with at least five years conservation experience are preferred. In addition to excellent conservation skills, the position requires superior written, verbal, and interpersonal skills along with creative thinking and problem solving ability.
