Post-graduate Internship in Paintings Conservation Balboa Art Conservation Center Balboa Art Conservation Center (BACC) is pleased to announce that funds have been secured to support a post-graduate internship in paintings conservation. In addition, applications are still being accepted for a Mellon Fellowship in paper conservation. BACC is an active regional center serving 19 member museums, non-member museums, and private collectors. BACC conservators work with a wide variety of collection types performing conservation services in examination, treatment, analysis, and on-site surveys of collections. Both fellowships are one-year, post-graduate internships. Applicants should be recent graduates of recognized conservation training programs or have equivalent experience. The stipends are based upon a salary of $27,000 plus benefits, four weeks of research leave, and a $1,500 travel allowance in support of study projects. The internships are scheduled to begin in September 2006. Applicants should apply in writing with a resume, three professional references, and at least three examples of treatment experience.
