artist Donald Judd in Marfa, Texas, seeks a conservator to oversee a
comprehensive collections care program. Chinati's collection is
primarily comprised of indoor and outdoor sculpture. Significant

documentation of the works of art; assessment of environmental
conditions; routine maintenance of the collection; handling of loans
for temporary exhibitions; soliciting and supervising conservation
interns; and providing guidance for other museum staff including
tour guides, housekeeping, and security. The conservator will
identify areas of the collection that require treatment and will
conduct research related to the examination, documentation, and
treatment of the works of art and the buildings.

Applicants should hold a graduate degree from a recognized
conservation training program, and should have a minimum of three
years experience of working with modern and contemporary art. Strong
written and verbal communication skills are needed. Good
