We seek a professionally trained painting conservator for a leading
conservation studio based in Singapore working primarily with the
private market and institutions in Southeast Asia.  Based in
Singapore, our outreach extends to Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong
and the Philippines.  We need a dynamic responsible individual who
is attracted to living in the tropics and is motivated to work in a
proactive customer-oriented service business with more of an art
market orientation than academic.  The Studio is centrally located
in a villa surrounded by a green urban environment with easy access
to transportation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

    a.  Professional training

    b.  Minimum 5 years experience as a painting conservator after
        training

    c.  Excellent retouching skills and ability to write
        documentations in English required

    d.  Experience with clientele from the private sector (not just
        institutions) is essential

    e.  Able to work independently as well as being team-oriented is
        important

    f.  Experience working in numerous countries is useful

    g.  Excellent English speaking, writing and communication skills
        essential

    h.  Excellent social skills to live in a multicultural society
        required

    i.  Willing to understand and work within the culture of Asian
        business

    j.  Ready for the challenge of a change

    k.  Two-year contract which can be extended

Starting Date:  1 August 2006

Salary: Commensurate with experience
