Scientists, Diagnostic and Scientific Laboratory

    Heritage Malta is the national agency for museums, conservation
    practice and cultural heritage. The agency is strengthening its
    operations in a number of core areas and is seeking to employ
    qualified and motivated individuals to fill a number of
    vacancies. If you have the necessary qualifications and would

    Overall Purpose of Position: To provide scientific support
    within the Diagnostic and Scientific Laboratories working
    closely with Heritage Malta's Conservators and Curators, and to
    provide necessary academic support in field of expertise to the
    Institute of Conservation and Management of Cultural Heritage.

    Qualifications and Experience: Applicants must be in possession
    of a first degree in the relevant science based subject (i.e.
    physics and/or chemistry and/or biology or material science or
    engineering) and a minimum two years relevant experience in a
    similar role.

Conservators

    Conservators specialising in the following areas:

        Paintings
        Metals, Ceramics, Stone and Glass
        Wood and Furniture
        Books and Paper
        Textiles

    Overall Purpose of Position: To undertake conservation practice
    in the specific area of expertise following the direction
    outlined by the Senior Conservator while providing  necessary
    academic support in the related field of expertise to the
    Institute of Conservation and Management of Cultural Heritage.

    Qualifications and Experience: Applicants are to be in
    possession of a first degree in the relevant conservation
    subject and a minimum two years relevant experience in a similar
    role.
