practice and cultural heritage. The agency is strengthening its
operations in a number of core areas and is seeking to employ

Position Title: Manager, Diagnostic and Scientific Laboratory

Purpose of position: To manage Diagnostic and Scientific
Laboratories working closely with Heritage Malta's Conservators and
Curators, and to provide necessary academic support in field of
expertise to the Institute of Conservation and Management of
Cultural Heritage.

Qualifications and Experience: Applicants must be in possession of a
masters degree in conservation science, chemistry, biology and/or
physics, material science or engineering.  A doctorate degree and/or
experience in a management position will be considered an asset.

Position Title: Senior Conservators

Senior Conservators specialising in the following areas:

    Paintings
    Metals, Ceramics, Stone and Glass

Purpose of position: To manage conservation practice in the specific
area of expertise following the direction outlined by the Head
Conservation while providing  necessary academic support in the
related field of expertise to the Institute of Conservation and
Management of Cultural Heritage.

Qualifications and Experience: Applicants are to be in possession of
a masters degree in the relevant conservation based subject and
relevant experience in a management post and/or in a post relative
to this job description.
