Solophenyl dye supplier

Many textiles and objects conservators may be interested to know that
there was a change in a major supplier of solophenyl (and other)
textile dyes. In a recent phone call to Ciba-Geigy I was advised
that Lanaset B black dye was no longer being produced; after some
further communication it transpired that actually Ciba-Geigy will no
longer be producing any textile dyes because this part of the
company has been transferred to Huntsman Ltd. Specific information
to this effect can be viewed at:

and the company may be contacted regarding supplies of dye
(including Lanaset B black) through their representative Pauline
