Scratches on engraved glass

We have had good results using a horsehair and felt rotary "sanding"
head, applying microfine cerium oxide.  That handles shallow
scratches quite well. Deeper scratches can be filled with a 3M
optically clear resin (requires making a dam and filling it with the
resin), which would then be buffed down to the glass surface.
manipulation of the glass sheet, i.e. placing the scratched surface
on top.
