Condition surveys

The Museum of Architecture in Stockholm, Sweden is considering using
the British National Preservation Office method of assessment survey
for its collections of library materials--a varied range of objects
including books, pamphlets and journals.

The head Librarian and the conservator employed by the museum have
been in contact with the Swedish National Library about their
interest in and knowledge of this survey method. We would however be
interested in finding out if other Scandinavian libraries or museums
containing collections of library materials have undertaken this
assessment survey method, if any problems arose during the process
and if the outcome of the survey was beneficial for the collections.
