Artlab Australia conserves and preserves cultural heritage resources
within South Australia, Australia and internationally.

It is located in Adelaide, a city rich in the arts and cultural
diversity - an integral part of Australia's arts and heritage
landscape; the hub of Australia's heritage industry.

Artlab delivers its services to major organisations such as the Art
Gallery of South Australia, the South Australian Museum, the State
Library, and History Trust, as well as to a range of smaller
organisations and the general public, operating as a government
business enterprise. These services include preventive programs,
remedial treatments, community support and education.

Artlab Australia is seeking an Objects Conservator for a temporary
period of 12 months who will provide object conservation services to
a broad range of clients, collections and individual items. This
interesting and challenging position will involve treatment,
research and documentation of a broad range of materials including
ceramic, glass, metal, ethnographic, decorative, and social history
artefacts.

A degree in materials conservation or appropriate degree in science
or archaeology is essential.

A relevant degree or equivalent in fine arts, art history and/or
collection management is desirable.
